Update to Line Following Sensor

Hi All,

I have managed to get a test of my Line Following sensor working and I have updated the site with details on the parts needed and how I set it up in the board.

I'll hopefully be getting my robot working in the next few weeks and you'll be able to see it zooming along a line :)

Thanks,

Ozirock

Parts Lists added to most projects

Hi ,

I'm just letting you know I've added a parts list to all the projects (I think) so you should have an idea of what you would need for each project. I have a few minor updates to make to some but I should get round to them at the weekend.

Thanks,

Ozirock

Update to Ultrasonic Sensor

Hi All,

I have updated the ultrasonic sensor section with what I have managed to get done so far, you can see how I set up my bread board for testing and what parts are required.

I didn't get it working yet but hopefully by next week I will.

Thanks,

Ozirock

PIC 16f627 Motor Direction Controller

Hello All,

I have began to write about the motor controller I'm trying to make for my robot using a PIC 16f627. It's based on a design I found on the web which uses a different PIC to control it. You can find it in the PIC microcontrolers section here.

I started my assembly only to find I had forgotten the capacitors needed for the PIC to work properly so I have now ordered them and will be able to test the controller at the weekend which will hopefully work perfectly.

I have an idea of how to make it more compact and I'll let you know how that works out too.

Thanks,

Oisin

RC Car Preperation photos finally in place

Hello All,

I have finally managed to get the photos of the RC car controller uploaded and onto the page so now you can see all the steps necessary for wiring up your own controller ready to connect to the computer.

Thanks,

Motor controller using PIC 16f627

Hello All,

I've been working on creating a motor controller using a PIC 16f627, this controller will hopefully be able to change the direction of a motor very simply. The design is quite complicated but I'm trying to show the theory and then I'll try make less complicated using a few components I think will work.

I ordered the wrong capacitors so I'll hopefully pick them up tomorrow and the I'll be able to complete the project by next weekend at the latest.

Thanks,

Ozirock

More great videos from our members have been added

Hello All,

There has been a number of new videos added to the videos section of the site.

Retrobrad has given us a number of examples of PIc microcontrollers being used to create small games and other PIC projects.

Pirobotproductions have given us a huge collection of robot vision examples and advanced robotics examples.

Some great stuff, hope you enjoy it.
